Frequently asked

What is Folio73?

Folio73 is a curated web directory organised as an expedition log. It currently holds 836 verified entries distributed across 22 named sections, covering everything from health services and travel to technology and legal practices. Each entry has been reviewed and classified before being admitted to the index.

Is it free to list my site?

Yes — submission and listing are completely free. There is no charge to file an entry or to maintain your position in the Folio73 log. The index is funded independently and does not monetise individual listings.

How are sites organised?

Sites are assigned to one of 22 expedition sections based on their primary type of service or content. Sections range from Motor Pool & Terrain Rigs for automotive sites to Field Dispatches & Press Reports for media destinations. Sites that span multiple categories are logged under General Outposts & Miscellaneous Entries.

How do I submit a site?

Use the submission form on the Add a Site page. Provide the site URL and select the most appropriate section from the dropdown. Submissions are reviewed in the order they arrive; once accepted, the entry is assigned a permanent log position.

How long does review take?

Most submissions are reviewed within a few days. The review checks that the site is reachable, that it belongs to the selected section, and that no duplicate entry already exists in the log. You will find your site in the index once it clears intake.

Can I update my listing?

To update the details of an existing entry — title, description, or category — use the submission form to file a revised entry and note the existing URL. The log team will update the record accordingly.

What types of sites are accepted?

Folio73 accepts any legitimate, reachable destination that fits one of the 22 expedition sections. The index covers a wide range of sectors and does not restrict by country, language, or company size. Sites must be accessible at the time of review to be admitted.

About Folio73

Folio73 is a curated web directory assembled in the style of an expedition log — each of the 836 listed sites has been reviewed, classified, and assigned a permanent position in one of 22 sections. The sections span commerce, health, technology, travel, and a dozen other territories, making the log a reliable reference for navigating the open web. Every entry was filed through a standard intake process before being admitted to the log. Folio73 does not rank sites by traffic or revenue — classification is the only criterion. New waypoints are added continuously as submissions arrive. The log is open to any legitimate destination and free to browse.
